Blue Flowers

What are some common blue flowers in Missouri….?

I am needing to know, because I want some blue flowers in my wedding bouquet w/o if costing an arm and a leg more. I am having a beach theme reception so I was thinking colors thta you would see in an ocean setting.

Carnations are ideal for dying any color you desire and they smell nice too. If you get a florist to do it tell them what color you want them. If you do it yourself just put the flowers in water mixed with blue food coloring for about 48 hours before the wedding. Almost any white flower can be dyed by this process. Carnations are very cheap though and they will also give the impression of an island flower. Lavender or pink would look nice too.
Just to clarify: Don’t put the whole flower in the blue water just the stems and as the flower drinks it will deposit the blue dye in the bloom.
